CBT: Bridging the gap between science and practice

On behalf of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies – EABCT – and the organising Dutch Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy –VGCt- it is a great pleasure to invite you to the EABCT Congress in The Hague from 10 – 13 September 2014.


The scientific programme will cover a diverse range of topics including: the cognitive- behavioural treatment of addictive disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD and related disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, child and adolescent mental health, treatment of the elderly, and behavioral medicine.


Throughout these topics, the emphasis will be on evidence-based practice, training of evidence-based CBT practitioners, dissemination of results of clinically relevant studies, the pros and cons of technological innovations in CBT such as internet-based therapy, virtual reality treatment and use of gaming in therapy.

Abstract submission

The official language will be English.

Electronic submission of abstracts for symposia, workshops, panel debates and open papers will be possibile from 1 September 2013 until 16 March 2014. Submission of posterabsctracts will be possible from 1 September 2013 until 1 May 2014.
All abstracts must be submitted in English.

Delegates who are presenting must register for the congress before the presentation can be included in the programme. Each author can submit a maximum of 3 contributions as first author.

More information, like criteria, will follow in the summer of 2013.
